Happy and proud news comes again for Indonesia. In the international sports event The World Games Chengdu 2025, which took place from August 7-17, 2025 in Chengdu - China, the preliminary results show the Red and White Team swept three gold medals and three silver medals from six sports participated in.

Six Sports Participated by the Red and White Team:

• Dragon Boat
• Karate
• Kickboxing
• Sport Climbing
• Triathlon
• Wushu

Three gold medals came from Dragon Boat sports, two silver medals also from Dragon Boat, and one silver medal from Wushu. This proves that Indonesia’s strength is not only in team sports but also in individual sports.

“All of this is for Indonesia,” said one athlete while raising his paddle to the air. The victory in the mixed 10-seater 500 meter event completed the two previous golds in open 8-seater 2000 meter and open 8-seater 200 meter. Not only gold, Indonesia also brought home two silvers from the open 8-seater 500 meter and mixed 10-seater 2000 meter events.

Even more surprising, a surprise came from wushu: Seraf Naro Siregar added one silver in the men’s Changquan—Daoshu—Gunshu event. In total, the Red and White contingent achieved three golds and three silvers—a sweet achievement from a total of 28 athletes competing in five sports.

In the temporary medal standings, Indonesia is in seventh position. Germany leads with 9 golds, followed by Italy (6 golds), Ukraine (4 golds), China, Switzerland, and France.

This achievement proves that the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice of the athletes, coaches and everyone involved were not in vain. Congratulations to the Red and White Team, we are proud of you, keep up the spirit of bringing honor to Indonesia’s name on the national and international stage.
