Acceptance of these terms

By using Masyarakat Indonesia — reading, registering, writing, or sending messages — you agree to the terms on this page. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

These terms are read together with the Privacy Policy. The service is operated by PT Masyarakat Indonesia Digital Diaspora & Community Platform, Kota Tangerang Selatan, Banten, Indonesia.

Who may become a member

Membership is open to people aged 13 and above. If you are under 18, use the service with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.

Accounts we learn were created by a child below the minimum age will be closed.

Your account

• Give accurate details when registering; do not impersonate another person or organisation
• One account per person. Do not share an account and do not create extra accounts to evade a sanction
• Keep your password confidential; everything done from your account is your responsibility
• If you suspect someone else has access to your account, change your password and tell us

The content you write

What you write remains yours. We claim no ownership of your articles, comments, or messages.

You confirm that you are entitled to publish that content — that it is your own work or that you hold the permissions you need, including for photographs and quotations.

The permission you give us

By publishing content here you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, copy, translate, and distribute that content on this platform and on the platform's official channels — for as long as it remains published.

This licence exists only to run and present the platform. We do not sell your content to third parties. Your name stays on it as the author.

What may not be posted

• Unlawful content, and encouragement or incitement to commit a crime
• Hatred and discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, race, nationality, sex, orientation, disability, or group membership
• Harassment, threats, bullying, and stalking
• Sexual content involving minors — without exception, and reported to the authorities
• Spam, repeated promotion, and advertising outside the categories provided for it
• Malware, phishing, and attempts to break the security of the system
• Infringement of copyright and other intellectual property rights
• Other people's personal data without their consent, including photographs and contact numbers
• Automated data collection or machine access without our permission

Moderation

The platform is moderated through the roles of moderator, super moderator, editor, and administrator. A moderator's authority may be limited to particular categories.

We may edit, hide, move, or remove content that breaches these terms, and may restrict or close accounts. Edits made by moderators are recorded in the revision history and can be inspected.

If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, object through the Contact page. We will look at it again.

Buying, selling, and service listings

The forum has categories for buying and selling, second-hand goods, and service listings. Listings in those categories are posted by members, not by us.

Any transaction takes place entirely between the parties involved. The platform is not a party to it: we do not act as an intermediary, we hold no payments, we do not inspect goods or services, and we do not guarantee the accuracy of what a buyer or seller states.

Do your own checks before you transact, particularly where payment is made in advance. If you come across fraud, report it through the Contact page so that we can act on the listing.

Exchange rates

The exchange-rate figures on this site are provided for information only and are compiled from publicly available reference values. The data is presented as it is, with no guarantee of accuracy or timeliness, and it is not financial advice.

Links to other sites

Content here may link to third-party sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Following such a link is your own decision.

Availability of the service

The service is provided as it is. We may change, suspend, or discontinue a feature, and we do not promise that the site will always be reachable without interruption.

We take regular backups, but please keep your own copy of anything you have written that matters to you.

Limits of liability

Content written by members is the responsibility of its author. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of data, or loss of profit arising from use of this service.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Ending your membership

You may request deletion of your account at any time through the Contact page.

We may restrict or close an account that breaches these terms. For serious breaches — such as sexual content involving minors, threats, or attacks on the system — closure is immediate and without warning.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The version number and effective date appear at the top of this page; for significant changes we will announce them on the site. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes that cannot be settled amicably are submitted to the courts at the registered seat of the company.
