Tourism in Istanbul Part I

🕌 1. Sultanahmet (Istanbul Old City) This is the most historic area in Istanbul, with many attractions in one area. Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya) A former church, then a mosque, then a museum, and now a mosque again. An icon of Istanbul. Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii) A beautiful mosque with six minarets and a stunning blue interior. Topkapi Palace Palace of the Ottoman Sultans. It houses relics of the Prophet Muhammad, such as his robe and beard. Basilica Cistern An underground Roman water reservoir. Unique and atmospheric.
